More Than Equal Appoints Adam Smalley as Driver Coach for High-Performance Programme

More Than Equal, the global high-performance driver development programme, announces the appointment of Adam Smalley as Driver Coach. Smalley joins current Driver Coaches, Sarah Moore and Jordan King, to further strengthen the programme’s technical expertise and race-winning experience.
His career progression from karting through junior categories to professional GT racing mirrors the structured, long-term development philosophy at the core of More Than Equal.
Smalley will play an active role in upcoming driver camps, including the next More Than Equal Driver Camp at Pembrey Circuit in Wales on 30–31 March, where drivers will test Formula 4 machinery as part of their progression into single-seater racing.
A highly accomplished professional racer, Smalley brings recent top-level GT and single-seater development pedigree to the role. The British driver most recently claimed multiple wins in the GT World Challenge in 2025, the British GT Silver-Am Championship in 2024 and won the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship, taking four wins and fourteen podiums from sixteen races in a dominant title campaign.
Adam Smalley, More Than Equal Driver Coach, said: “Driver development at the early stages is critical. The habits formed during the transition from karting to cars can define a driver’s long-term ceiling. More Than Equal’s structured, evidence-led approach really resonates with me, and I’m excited to contribute to building strong technical foundations and professional standards within the programme. Supporting talented female drivers at this stage of their journey is both a responsibility and a privilege.”
The More Than Equal Driver Development Programme delivers bespoke technical coaching, physical preparation and mental performance support, with a particular focus on the critical transition from karting to car racing.
The programme integrates simulator training, gym-based preparation and structured on-track sessions within a long-term athlete development framework.
Tom Stanton, Chief Executive Officer of More Than Equal, added: “Adam represents the calibre of professional experience we want embedded within our coaching team. He has progressed through the junior pathway, succeeded in one-make championships, and competed at the highest levels of GT racing. His experience, combined with a deep understanding of technical development, will be invaluable as we prepare our drivers for the next phase of their careers.”
Lauren Forrow, Head of Driver Development at More Than Equal, noted: “Our coaching team combines lived racing experience with a structured, high-performance methodology. Adam strengthens that blend perfectly. His understanding of feedback quality, race craft and professional standards aligns perfectly with our athlete-centred model, particularly as our drivers approach Formula 4 testing.”
Founded by businessman and philanthropist Karel Komárek and former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard, More Than Equal is dedicated to finding and developing the first female Formula 1 World Champion.
